Basically there were only 3 places we went to since we were here! Okie, mayb 4 if you considered the quay area ard Sydney Opera Hse. Ok. So, it's Chatswood, Town comprising of Chinatown n Queen Victoria Building ( QVB ). Yeah! Just these few places n we r bombarded with more than enough shopping than we can contain. Just this particular shop, I think we can actually patronise it like averaging 2times a day. Wht it's the same outlet of not. Haahaa. Yeah. Today the aunties bot so many HUGE vegetables! YES! Fresh veggies from this freshie wholesale market n who got to carry the whole lot? ME! A whole bag of like 15 oranges, bananas n I must especially mention this DA BAI CAI!!! Which must have weighed at 2kg! It looks so big! N my mum had to choose the heaviest wan! Thanks! The worse thing is that the streets of Sydney r winding n rollar-coasterish! We had to walk bout 15mins upslope to get to the bus stop. Neway, I waited n waited for this shop to open cos it was full of 50%off biknis, seafolly which wld translate to 60sing dollars when normally is sold at over hundreds in sing itself. Unfortunately, what I wanted did nt have a matching bottom n cost more than the normal wans. Haiz. The 4 aunties were seating at this bench waiting for me. But in vain! Haa. Neway, we were using the cheapest blue bus transport cards which travel up to 2 sections ( Which I really dun understand what they mean by that n the areas which indicate so )... ... lazy to explain...shall nt blog le... A market we missed that day cos it was only opened frm Thurs to Sun. It's a huge pasar malam! Haahaa! Kor kor had to go sch n practice his oboe, has an upcoming performance on Sun. So, he left aft he led us to Chinatown. The rest was up to me! Huge responsibility. Haahaa. Hmmm, I bought a pair of covering half my face sunglasses, yet another belt and 2 blouses which was rather not me. Esp, the yellow wan. A new change I suppose. Not v cheap. A$70 for both but I suppose they were good buys. Since I like it n it looks not bad n both would prolly cost S$100++ altogether in Sg. Yapyap. Tried like 3 bikins tdy but unfortunately despite their economical prices, were weirdly designed. Quite disappointing actually. Just felt like trying on every single piece n see which wan fits the best n get it. Quite sad actually, shopped for the whole day but I only bought those few. Haahaa. Tml I shall work harder. Haahaa! I brought the 4 aunties back home frm the central area to hom on my own today! Haahaa! Quite proud of my accomplishment! Tml we would be gg back to Chatsworth where Target is n on Sunday, we would be gg where we went tdy without my bro budden I seriously dunno what else is there to shop when we ve practically covered every inch there! Haahaa. Oh yah! I had a gd sleep last night! Woke up at lile close to 10am when my mum worked the hair dryer! Haahaa! I was covered in 2 blankies, my brown jacket n ltr, my mum's jacket! Haahaa! Ant, Ric, Mich n Jen are now having sushi tog nw!!! ) Neway, it's good when you travel with people who are experienced "home-cookers", esp so when you stay in places that allow u to flaunt ur culinary talents! My mama, xiao3 yi2, er4 yi2, n e main mastermind behind the food of the day... ...POPO! All manage to flaunt their skills to their best in that humble kitchen of my kor kors' who doesn even noe what there is in his fridge n cabinets. I just had noodle soup with loads of ingredients until my bro cldn even see the noodle in his bowl. There were 3 types of mushrooms! Cabbage n bitter-tasting spinach leaves. Expanded to the max crab-stick n fat meatballs. Seems like everything that has got to do with food is supersized in here! Let me complain bout sth first. This croc aunt of mine is rather plump. Just cos her daughter is married to an American n she having stayed there for 3mths, thinks that she knows it all. The food, the pple, the supermarkets, the super huge marts, even the trees, when they will shed leaves n turn to flowers ( she even has the cheek to say that they will within the nxt 2 days! ). Even my bro whom I have hardly heard of him ve-ing ill-comments of pple said that she just having seen a part of the world feels that every other corner of the earth behaves in the same way. Nvm that. I had no dinner last night. WHY?!? B'cos somebody ate my share n has no sense of guilt or shame. I was late for dinner cos I was busy uploading my photos n helping her send e-mails to her hubby n daughter, she said that she would share half of her rice with me. BUT, by the time I was done there was nth left on the table!!! Well, plus the fact that nobody else seem to bother wht I was hungry or not. This morning, e 4 aunties woke up @1am!!!Can you believe it! They woke me up as well cos I was jus sleeping on the couch! They didn seem abit guilty or whatsoever. N btw, it wasn funny.I had to wait until 4am after each of them fell asleep before snuggling onto the couch agn! Ok! Back to my aunt. She ate breakfast at 1am already n when my popo cooked fried rice, she let me my mum n my aunt shared this small bowl. Aft it was gone, my popo immediately scooped sumore into the bowl FOR ME cos she knew I haven had breakfast! But guess wad, she was sittingt next to me n she scooped rice into her MOUTH!!! Until my popo shifted the bowl right under my nose! This morning was really cold n I didn bring my long john cos I thot it wldn be, my mum thot so too! But lil did I know that my mum eventually packed hers back into the luggage. When everyone was hassling about enough layers of clothing, I realised that my pants was quite thin. I complained to my mum n she just acknowledged n asked bout long john. I said I didn bring n she went on to defend herself. That was it! I decided that I had to change back to my jeans if not I would end up freezing. Lucky I did. I was mad with my mum. Like nobody cared wht I had food, nobody cared wht I had enough clothings. @#$%!!! It wasn until we were in the toilet outside that I said lucky I change my pants before she realised I did sth about it. Haiz. Forgive her la! Neway, tdy was just super cold. SUPER DUPER COLD! You could see the air coming out of ur mouth. I ve always had a kick doing that. Haahaa! I even had to wear my gloves, my ears were numb, felt that I was talking weirdly, seems as though my mouth actions had to be further emphasized just to pronounce words correctly! First stop was the wildlife park! WOOHOO!!!! I was the most excited here! So excited that I actually felt my heart thumping, was quite freaked out by it actually. Haahaa! I was the most excited 'cos I cld see my FAVOURITIST animal in Aust! THE WOMBAT!!! WAHAHA! A PIG lookalike! Haahaa! I was so looking forward to hugging it but unfortunately dey dun allow that in this wildlife park. Well, I did see quite a number of them in close view. So, Im quite contented. Plus, the fact that we actually saw 2 peacocks spreading their feathers, we were really lucky. N for the first time I was actually in close proximity with a koala bear, close enough to even stroke it n take a pict with it even though it was oblivious to me, just happily eating. Haahaa! Me n kor kor were really quite kiddish. They handed out these paper passports so that for some animals you visited, they have stamps before each enclosure which you can stamp on. Me n kor kor actually went ard collecting the stamps. Haahaa! At one pt, even the 4 aunties gave us theirs to have them stamped on! Haahaa! Heehee! wombatwombatwombatwombatwombat. Oh ya! They have 2 kinds of wombats! The pinkish kind n e blackish kind.I ve only seen the pinkish kind once before. Hmmm, I suppose the black wans r more common. Neway the first time I went to Perth, I was a real kiddo. When the tour guide actually carried one right before our eyes, its was the pink one, I actually hid behind my mum n said that it look like a zhu1! Seconds aft I said that, the tour guide said that it resembles a pig but it is not one. Till this day, I still wonder wht it was pure coincidence or he has heard it before. Hmmm...question mark. Then we headed up to this mini hotel which served great buffet lunch. Their buffet was mini too. Haahaa! There was coffee, tea, soft drinks at A$3. Fruits of rock melon n watermelon, salad n main course of rice, stir-fried veggie, mushroom n beef in thick gravy n my favourite! Grilled chicken drum! Haahaahaa! Mini right? That's all. Oh! 1 more. Cheesy pasta which was too floury! Heehee! I had 4 drumsticks! Wahahaa! Im sorry la! Cold weather ma! Oh yah! Their servings of potato wedges r so huge! Its like a 1/4 piece of a whole potato. They put it in a cup which is inside this small paper bag n they fill it to the brim of the paper bag! The fries r even better. Like those served in Mos Burger but 10 times nicer. Minimal salt. Yuan2 chi1 yuan3 wei4!!! With our rolly bellies, we finally made our way down to the 1st scenic location. The Three Sisters. It's these 3 outstanding pinnacles in the Blue Mountain. Btw, Blue Mountain is called that due to the blue hue it emitts from far. The mist from the greenery refracts the sun's rays hence emitting the bluish hue which was even more apparent due to the rain this aftnoon. The scenary was really breathtaking but super cold n wet due to the slight weather. Snow was expected due to the cold weather n slight drizzle but nothing came out of it in the end. BREATHTAKING! Basically, we were visiting scenic locations on Blue Moutain itself. The waterfall, the rides, the nature walk. Have you ever sat in a tram which averages out to 45degrees on a moutain before? The seats are inclined in such a way that on horizontal ground, you seem to be in a cradle position but as in goes down the tunnel, you r practically vertical. That was hw steep it was. Haahaa! Luckily it was only a short ride, transferring people from the peak to the nature trail. Nth much bout the trail 'cept that it smiled v "jungle-ish" yet v FRESH at the same time. Good cleanser for the heart body mind n soul. Aft that, we took this huge standing cable car which took us back where we started. But before we entered the cable car, this Taiwanese girl suddenly grabbed hold n practically hung on to my arm exclaiming that she was afraid of heights n she felt that I could "console" her better than her fren cld. Before that we merely exchanged a few words on wherabouts n things like that. So, I was really quite shock but since she implied that I was quite a confidence booster, I was quite proud of my newly acclaimed title and tried my best to tell her that all was alright as we passed the journey.Was really quite tired due to insufficient sleep. Caught a few winks on the bus. We went on to this waterfall. Me n my bro thot that we would b really close to the waterfall, turns out that it was just looking from afar. Chey, 300+++ steps. Almost wanted my life. Even though it was so cold, I was perspiring by the time I was back in the coach. Only me n kor kor n xiao3 yi2 completed the track. The rest were put off by the endless #of steps. Haahaa. Before the bus left the mountain, we checked on one last stop! The candy store in the town of Blue Mountain. Have ur eyes ever fell upon rows upon rows upon shelves of candy, chocolate? Mine has today. Haahaa! It's just a super quaint shop! Loads of candies, chocolates n stuffs lidat. Did you know that wether's originals came in chewy candy form? By the time we reached the Olympic Park it was too dark to see anything. The only thing I cld rem about seeing in my groggy state of mind was that everything was huge. The stadiums n all. Just beautiful.The coach left us in at this small pier where we took a cruising boat back to the Circular Quay. Instead of sitting inside, engulfed by warmth n relaxation. Me n k0r kor chose the hard way of standing in the cold breeze, in envy of all the rich n famous who own houses by the sea, yacht in their backyard. Cldn take any pictures in the dark,though I wld ve really liked to. You wld ve to be there to know what I mean. The view, the environment. I ve always felt that in the cold, the best warmth you can get is the warmth of ur dearest's arms ard you, protecting you. So, you can say that I was standing there with the wrong person, my bro prolly thot so to! Haahaa! Where is my Mr Right?!? That ended our tour of the day. We took the train to Central to take a bus. One would think that we wld all be so saturated n tired n hungry that we just wanna go hm right? But no... ... we still ve time to shop! Haahaa. As we walked to the bus stop, we had to walk pass this mall which we happily entered n stepped right into this shop selling bags. Haahaa! After awhile, me n mama emerged with a bag each so did xiao3 yi2. Popo was just waiting outside for us, hurrying us as she wanna go back n cook for us. However, seconds aft we were just standing there waiting for the bus, mama suddenly exclaimed that popo wanted to buy this bag from there. Haahaa. So, we went back n finally everybody was satisfied. Haahaa. It's 15mins to 12 n Im still awake. The latest of these few nights! Tml kor kor will b gg sch so Im bringing them to Chinatown. Oh man! Hope that I dun get lost. Haahaa! Gotta go slp le! Each day we will prolly leave the hse, tke the bus n reach our destination by 10+am. Then we will start heading hm at ard 4+++ n by 7pm, I will ve nth to do. Last night I slept at 9pm which was Sg time 7 AM!!! Haahaa! But I woke up at midnight n I cldn sleep again. Went online but it was too early. Nobody was online. Forced myself back to slp only to b awaken by 6am! Oh man, the aunties. Haahaa! So, instead of continuing sleeping on e couch, I went to their room! Haahaa! Only to be harrassed by my aunt who stared at me while I sleep. Haahaa! Cant be bothered with her. Haahaa. Anyway, finally woke up at like 9+. My mum tucked me in when she woke up at 6am. Feeling was good. I ve always liked it whenever my mama came in n fiddled with my blankie n all. Haahaa! Neway, tdy we went to visit the Sydney Opera Hse. View is FANTABULOUS! Think kallang basin, Esplanade, BUT, KOOL breezy weather, sky blue, cloudless n u r not sweating abit at all! Haahaa. Just look at the pictures. The Sydney Opera Hse looks majestic n all but the inside was abit disappointing. There was this restaurant which I felt loooked like the deck of a spaceship, the entrace into the inside of the Opera Hse was just steps. You can call it ZEN-like, or cold, dull n stony. We were only allowed towards the Restrooms, Ticketing office n souvenir shops, the staircases leading to the theatres n all were blocked. So, I think the stony feel is just the outside la huh. There were a lot of kids there! Super cute! Haaha! When the parents visited the toilet, they all PARKED their pram along the coat hanging counter. Haahaa! One whole row of babies in their prams. Maybe they should start having parking tickets stations der. LAME! Aft that, we took the train to Chatsworth. They are still using the slot-in n retrieve back ur card system. Theirs is paper cards though. Pay for the number of stations u travel. Their trains looks like a cross btw a MRT n a TRAIN! Each carriage is on its on, n it has DOUBLE stories. The doors will open to a common seating area of seats facing each other on one side then on e other are steps leading either up or down. According to my bro, the seats can actually be flipped so that they face each other! Kool huH! Esp, if u r travelling in a grp! The shops r so cool! We visited 2 mega malls tdy. One had target another myers. I prefer those shops along the roads, offer more variety n cheaper too! My loot for the day! 2belts, 2tops n funky underwear! Haahaa! Im quite contented with e funky underwear! Even the cashier thot it was cute! Haahaa! PENgZ! Mayb I should get a few more! I cant bear to get them frm TopshoP! So EX! Thats bout it! Oh yah, bk here is called HUNGRY JACKS. The Macs here offer deli sandwiches that somewhat resemble subways sandwiches! I finally ate fish n chips tdy! Wahaha! The chips r super good! I just loooove POTATO!!! Wahaha! Im grateful of Sg's transport system! Theirs is quite confusing. Short distances, you use a different paper card which u can use up to 10 trips.Long distances, you use a differnt card. Im thinking hw u diff long and short!
