Hmm...seems like i ve been driving ard the entire day. Visited Orchard, Bishan, Siglap, Bedok, Lor Ah Soo and finally HOME! I finally had a taste of driving alone. Sent anty home lo, so its like alone from Lor Ah Soo to Flora Drive! Hehe. Having the car to my disposal is making me fatter den before. Time to hit the gym and cut down on food intake. Gotta drive to ah ma place tml morn! Im tired. Wun be having enough slp... Neway, Tangs Seed is having a sale now. 20-50% discounts. Both male and female apparels. Only bot a top. Would have gotten alot more stuffs if not for e not-in-the-mood-to-shop=dun-need-anything phase. The stuffs are earnestly nice and the quality is getting better wor. Check it out yah! Was having the -if-i-have-a-bf- i wld have gotten him sth from der thot. Hehe. Bot my 2nd pair of shorts from lucky plaza. White. Exact same design as my sand colored wan except tat its size 10. Size 10 only cos size 12 is too big for me and i had to shift the buttons on my sand colored ones. Feel like getting more pairs of tt shorts neway its only 7bucks and more skool tees from Seed. Ask ant and jen and they will tell you so. Too slow. Heng heng the cars behind me were careful with that p-plate on my car. THUS NO ACCIDENT. HENG AH! Neway, really have a lousy temper when i drive. I noe that Ant was guiding me but i cant help but flare up at him when his instructions are not what i PERCEIVE as clear and in time. Face was totally black. But i guess i can say that whatever was exchanged between me and him in the car stayed in the car. He helped me park in skool tdy. Cos i cldn make it. I take million of years to adjust and park and just as i was on the brim of giving up, ric zoomed past in his Mercs and ant offered to park. Oh well, take over the wheels then. Hehe. I shant drive to skool tml le. So distracted and stressed by the car and driving. Shall just drive around and familiarise myself with nearby amenities and frequented areas at night. Less cars, less stress, more at ease. Shall work on my parking . Sigh. Bought a set of markers from IKEA just now. 6 for $1.90! kool! I ve new jumbo markers that r cheap n good! WOOHOO! Initial time of leaving hse: 1730 Initial time upon reaching Pasir Ris Mrt: 1745 That was IF i was at the wheels. Actual Time upon leaving hse: 1725 Actual Time upon reaching White Sands Carpark: 1730 That was what actually took place. My dad was at the wheels. I was so the very early lo. Sigh. The plan for louis was to hop onto the train i was in at ard 6pm from Bedok. Early. Havent had dinner. Ya Kun. Can share with boss. Yap! They definately go together. Haahaa. Asked mama to help me da bao ya kun. We were both thoroughly confused at the # of slices we should order. Hehe. But it concluded with " Nvm la. My dat fren can eat alot wan. He v dua3 jia3 wan! You just buy lo. " N i ended up holding the biggest bag of kaya toast i ever held. For two. Hehe. Nth much happened at Kranji Stn. As usual la, pple were late like close to n hr from e designated meeting time. We started taking picts cos we were bored to death just WAITING. Haahaa. Boss thot i was close to tears cos my eyes were red. Hehe. False alarm. I admit im moved to tears quite easily but that night i was more of PISSED. Ok! Oh yah! N when im really quite pissed i will cry. Quite dumb?!? i think so too! Reached Larkin. We settled down in Macs for our dinner! Hehe. Strawberry milkshake. Ave and i took orders for the rest and that young malay guy at the counter really impressed us. We wanted like Filet-o-fish meal change drink to Ice Lemon Tea, Dbl cheeseburger meal change drink to strawberry milkshake, nuggets meal change drink to ribena, another strawberry milkshake and an apple pie. Confusing? Totally man. What impressed us was he didn key into the system what we wanted. In stead, he remembered everything by heart and reproduced everything we wanted on the tray without missing anything. Only the occasional reconfirmation questions. WOAH! Even for sg staff they would prolly have to like refer to their system a few times just to make sure they didn miss anything. 11pm. Gotta board the bus le! i choped boss to sit beside me. Got an1 quan2 gan3 and cushion to lean on case my head starts to swing ard like nobody's business and i start to ~~drool~~ . Hehe. i took out my sleeping bag to tahan the cold for the next 6hrs. It was really a v cool and smooth ride as compared to the one we took for the recce. Comfortable seats that wun rebound, aircon that was really cooling, and a totally "clean" feel to the bus. Transnasional was really worth every penny spent. We reached this petrol stn where after unloading all of our bags to the 2 4wheel drive, we boarded the bus once agn and the 4 wheel drive brought us to this pick up pt to have our breakfast at like 5am 5miles away. Well, it's now the fasting month so the malay family actually specially opened up their shop just to provide breakfast for us at a buffet style of 4ringit per pax. There was rice, beehoon, mian4, egg, curry or redang of sum sort, cucumber, fried chicken. We totally cleared everything off the trays. In fact, it was insufficient for everybody. From there, 2 grps left for the Jerangkang campsite via the 4wheel drive while e rest of us left to rot at the shop. Haahaa. We started amusing ourselves with whatever we have. Shihui's hair, taking stupid pictures, qian4 bian3 wen4 da2 ti2... ...After what seems like eternity and witnessing the sky lightening up, e 2 trucks finally came back. Well, since during the recce we already took the more comfortable 4wd, this time round, we boarded the truck with a price to pay. Blue blacks were just waiting round every corner, every pothole... ... It was fun nonetheless. Haahaa. Oh! N i realised that despite my Pentax cam being a rather unheard of and cheapo cam which houses a huge time lapse between each photo, it can actually take v good pictures of moving objects. It proved itself when i was taking picts onboard the 4wd. Despite it being jerky and bumpy, all e fotos i took came out clear n still! WooHOO! Tok about capturing the MOMENT! So proud! AH! I shall love it more from now on. Jerangkang oso didn seem to house any animals. It was really rare for animal or birds sightings, so when i saw monkeys in the stream that we were crossing on the 4wd, i got really excited and started exclaiming that i spotted a monkey. But xuan was like u look so far for what, there is one near u. I was like really meh? wher? N i started looking ard oblivious to the fact that she was toking bout Dam sitting next to me. Heehee. Reached the campsite, settled down, packed our daypacks. Instead of using my pouch, i borrowed Shang's camel bagpac cos he was staying at the campsite to "GUARD" our stuffs. Yap. And away we went. We played at every waterfall and basically snapped away on our cams. The waterfall really "grew". The "topmost" one which we camped at during recce, the midsection used to branch off into 2 separate falls before adjoining again at the lower section. Instead, what me and Dam realised was that it was joined and the centre of it was splashing out. The best was lunch time there. I suggested to have our lunch at this "stargazing" boulder that we failed to climb on top of the last time we were there. Haahaa. It was a tedious journey just to have lunch there. Just to get across to that boulder, we have to waddle across the water ( thats the easy part ) The hard part was climbing onto the huge boulder. Totally smooth piece of rock can! Haahaa. Ah des gt up first like hw guys get up the low wall. I then tried la. N i scrapped my knees. Pengz. Only managed successfully the 2nd time round. Then we pulled ave up and well, boss, piece of cake can! Haahaa. Well, the spot was a perfect place to sun tan lo! Directly under the sun. We just lied on each others' tummy and gathered the food in between us. Ave was laughing so much over dunno what and it spread to des lo. Poor me who was lying on des's tummy was vibrating so much that i cld have gotten a concussion lo! Haahaa. We started to take funny picts with that scenic view behind us and after we were done with it, we started to take arty farty pictures. Haahaa. Time to leave, ave almost lost her sandals and it was really quite funny. When we all reached the "shore" and ave was ready to retrieve back her sandals from des's bag. BRIIIINNG They were gone! And when we turned back to look, one was left on a smaller rock and the other nowhere to be seen. Even ziming n kuan ping who was now on the huge boulder cldn see it. Ah des went over to collect that one and found the other stuck sumwhere below the boulder! WOOHOO! Ave's lucky day wor! Haahaa. Reached back at the base camp at ard 4pm. Yap, waited for pple to come back and bathe and i was so sleepy i took a short nap before dinner. Such a pig! Haahaa. As we were having dinner, dark clouds quickly gathered and we were forced to like "just feed our faces". After we were done, we quickly packed our stuff and dumped our stuffs under this makan shade. The rest of us were sitting in the shade, eating pudding when dam and louis and pw came in, complaining that the tent was dripping. Hehe. So, finally, we shifted the tables to the side, laid down ground sheets and slacked inside. It was only 8pm when me n ave and dam fell asleep. They were playing James Blunt's You're beautiful and it was so soothing and nice that i fell asleep singing it. Th first time i felt that my stomach was bursting was when i took up the challenge to see who empties a 1.5lwater bottle first. The only female. Sabo-ed by ave girl. Des and boss were contemplating to compete and i jus happened to walk into their conversation. So i just happily said ONZ! Haahaa. And when they started to gather more pple for the game, reality hit me and i just kept quiet. Then, ave found this almost filled bottle in the tent and i was presented with it. Haahaa! According to jo and ave, my start was rather good and i was almost on par with boss. Budden left with 1/4 of the bottle, i gave up. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I FELT THAT ANOTHER GULP AND MY STOMACH WOULD BURST! Honest!!! Haahaa. Boss won! Almost immediately, the whole grp of us scattered in diff directions. Haahaa. I was like bending down ready to vomit! UNBEARABLE man! Haaha! Boss knew that he cldn keep it inside and puked 3times. Pengz! Jack asses! Haahaa! Torturing ourselves! Haahaa! That was the most exciting thing that happened that day. After that was just a super squeezy, sticky skins and super hot sun 4wheel drive back. I was reminded that i should get some snacks that we can munch on for lunch. Hence, SHENG SIONG! Haahaa! I called mama almost immediately! Just to tell her that i wanted to go Sheng Siong and i will be driving! Haahaa. She said ok but also added on to say that she will ve to fan2 nao3 again. Hehe. I cldn wait to reach home. The moment i stepped foot into the house, i loudly declared that i was home. Haahaa. " Y r u back so fast? " " Ma, u not mentally prepared yet ah? Lets go! " " Wait ah, i go S*** first. " " Haahaa. Y leh? u scared ltr u too freaked out until chua4 sai4 ah? " HAAHAA! SO EXCITING! Hehe! My mum was like briefing me on when i should turn the car, the brake, the gear, the air conditioner switch, the lights blah blah blah... hehe. My mum is really a kan cheong spider. Haahaa! I tink i almost gave her a heart attack. Like whenever i turn, she wld b so afraid that the car would hit the pillar when its like so far from it that i actually crossed the dotted line le lo. She wld b so panicky that she wldn gif me a chance to adjust properly before i stop and to stop myself from rebutting her wif angst i just stopped immediately and kept quiet and let her scold me. Pengz. We went 2 rounds around the basement carpark cos i wasn quite prepared to face the world yet. Haahaa. The moment i drove out of the estate, this car coming towards me swerve towards me and i just stopped la. Then, kena scolding again. Say why i stop, lidat the car behind might just kiss my ass lo. I should have slowed down and edge to the left and continue with caution. Sigh. What if the car cant cross, of cos i scared sure stop right? Furthermore i did depress my brake lo. The person behind me shld noe that i was preparing to come to a halt lo. Sigh. So paisei, cos i drove bare-footed then i had to tip toe outta the car cos i didn stop near enough to slot in the cashcard. Hehe. We were barely inside Loyang Pt for 15mins den gotta go fetch nunu frm pasir ris. Hehe. She cldn stop grinning when we were approaching her. Haahaa. Then, we went back to loyang pt again then home. Basically today i conquered the 2 common places that we always go to in Pasir Ris. Woohoo! I cant wait to drive again. Haahaa. Budden ah pa doesn dare to sit in. He says that he shall wait until he fully recovers from his heart attck before he attempts to do so. Which is like? End of Oct they all gg Sydney to visit kor kor. Hehe. " appears in the opening line of my dbl D's blog entries. Hehe. Seeing that statement there~ I FINALLY DID IT!!! WOOHOO~ Haahaa! SO HAPPY!!! YESH! I DID IT! aft THREE tries! AH!!! Yes, I passed my driving test today with 8pts. Hehe! Seeing how bad the weather was today, made me flip through the advance theory book just to check how one engages the wiper. Im so glad i did! Haahaa. It was put to good use just now. Hehe. During the test, i was so polite and courteous. I cant believe i actually managed to pull it off. Haahaa. The previous 2 tests, all i mumbled was " ok " in reply to every instruction given. But, this time round, " Ok. Yes Sir. " was my reply to everything he said. In addition to that, " Sorry Sir, may I adjust my side mirror? ", " Sorrie Sir, go straight right? ", " Sorrie Sir. " was all else that was heard. Hehe. Super polite right? Bth myself. " There is compelling evidence to prove that warm up sessions and driving tests are negatively correlated. " - Kai Jie Haahaa. Well, cos previously my warm-ups were perfect budden my TPs were like shit! This time, my warm up was a wake up call cos i wasn focusing, i was distracted, i didn signal, i didn check my blind spots, i dragged my gears, didn accerlerate when i cld have, blah blah blah... Haahaa. Oh! It didn help that i was rather unhappy with the stupid instructor who kept demoralising me. " You dragged 2nd gear the whole way when you cld have changed to 3rd or even 4th gear lo. Remember, the testers wan to go home early. Hor? " HMPH! More like he himself wanted to go home early lo. I had an hr for warm up but within 30mins, i was in the waiting room. And when i requested to do parallel parking again at the last min, he wqas like reprimanding me that i shloud have told him earlier. Pls la, you dun tink my 32lessons are for nothing right? I do noe that other cars would definately allow warm up cars to go first without any complaints. Maybe, i was just being grumpy. I think he realised his mistake and there was a 360degrees change in his tone upon parking the car. " Good luck ok. The car park swee swee already. You wun roll back even if u dun ( depress the ) brake. Be confident and alert and remember to " perform ". Acknowledge the tester and greet him ok. " WAH WAH WAH! So nice ah? Ok la! I be nice to him too. Haahaa. " Thanks thanks! OkOk! Thanks ah! " Hehe! Neway, back at the waiting room, due to my grudge with that warm up instructor, i kept psychoing myself and tried really hard to focus my thoughts. " I want to pass. I can do it! I must focus on the road conditions and not think about anything else. I shall not let anything distract me. Not his ticking on that paper, not the rain. I can do it! " The 1st tester who failed me? Foo Shou Way, the one hu failed me and passed Dam. Haahaa! He wasn on the tester list yesterday. So glad. I really didn wanna tio4 him again. Instead I was keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that i kena the 2nd tester, Wahid. Unfortunately, I missed him by one testee. Sigh. Oh well. The very 1st obstacle in the circuit was the parallel parking. The steps to follow were supposed to be : Before the car hits the 2 back pole, return 2 rounds to the left. Stop. Engage 1st gear and turn the wheel all the way to the right before returning 2 rounds to the left again. I had the least confidence for this part cos i get confused eaasily at the number of turns i made but i manage to scrap through for my revision lessons and warm up. However, after the initial 2 rounds return to the left and glancing to the front, i started to get a panic attack cos it wasn nicely done and i will have a lot of adjustments to make. But just at this moment, " Ok. Move off." " HUH? Move off? " " Yah. You can move off ." I was so shocked, I forgot to signal right before i moved out of the slot. Heng it wasn at e main parallel parking slots, it was at the narrower side. Haahaa. At that moment, i was thinking wht he 1. can definately make it so ask me to ove off. 2. cannot make it. Dun waste time. Raining sumore. So, just move off. Sigh. But heng after 2 tests, i have learnt to compose myself and not let that affect my other performances. Another mistake in the circuit was the crank course. I dreaded it the most cos, 1st tp i striked curb. And there was this car before me. So i had to stop at the turn which coincidentally was where the drain was. The moment i stopped, there was a jerk and sounded like i striked the curb. " Ok. Let me take a look. " Opened the door and peeked at the side. " Its ok. Carry on. " I still dunno whether i did hit the curb anot. On the roads, being tortoise slow drivers are expected to keep to the left side of the road and we are supposed to lane change to maintain that expectation. i signalled, checked and performed my lane change only to realise that " Damn! I should have signalled only after or before the left turn and not at the left turn. Other road users might think that i was turning into the lane on the left. DAMN!!! " At that point in time i was actually deliberating wht to acknowledge my mistake or just keep mum about it and i chose the latter. Hehe. So that was pretty much it. It was only when i was walking towards the briefing room that i realised i didn switch off the lights. Pengz. Well, that was the first time i drove with the headlights switched on. Haahaa. Convenient excuse. " Sorry Sir ( once again displaying my courteousness ) I forgot to switch off the headlights. " " Dun worry about that. The instructors will take care of it. " Woah. Alright. Haahaa. After we have taken our seats in the briefing room. I realised that the paper was v clean. " Hmmm... ( Scanning the paper ) Ur driving tdy was ( pause ) ok. ( LONG PAUSE ) upassed. ( Quick and hushed voice, I cldn believe my ears when i heard it! ) " " Ah. THANKEW THANKEW!!! " ( SMILING AND GRINNING! ) Then i realised i mus continue my act! Hehe! " So is there anything i need to take note of? ( when i saw him ticking the paper whoch constituted my 8marks. ) Instead of telling me bout my driving and all he told me bout what i shld now do... Bet the pple onboard on the bus mus b thinking that im crazy cos i kept msg-ing and grinning to my sms-es. WOOHOO! I just cant contain my happiness everytime i saw a congratulatory sms. Hehe! Went to meet pw n dam at heerens! Haahaa! Went for Turkish food and we were all bloated to the MAX!!! It was a happie day! Minus the headache. THANKEW ALL WHO WISHED ME WELL FOR MY DRIVING !!!
